We build practical, no-nonsense Windows utilities for the people who keep networks
and PCs running — and modern software for the dial-up community that never really
logged off.
Portable, focused utilities built in the field, for the field. Each one does a real job a tech runs into every week.

System information & diagnostics
Everything about a PC in plain English: hardware, software, security, live sensors and problems, with an explanation for every item. Includes an FTC Safeguards check with a printable report for car dealers, a network speed test, Windows 11 readiness and "what changed since my last visit".
Finds every computer, printer, phone and gadget on a network with its IP address, MAC address and manufacturer. Flags IP conflicts and proxy ARP, keeps notes and scan history per client location, and has ping, telnet (BBS-ready) and SSH built in.
Lists every Wi-Fi access point in range with its MAC address (BSSID), so when a connection keeps dropping you can pin down exactly which AP is the problem. Walk a floor plan for a pass/fail coverage map, get a best-practices review (with UniFi and Meraki support), and hand the client a report. Explains everything in plain English, which makes it great for newer techs.
Watches every keyboard and mouse at the hardware level and shows exactly which device sent each key press, click, scroll or movement. Flags stuck keys and buttons, bouncing switches that double-click, and devices that keep disconnecting. Its 30-second Hands-Off Test catches "ghost" input while nobody is touching anything.
A fast, no-nonsense PDF reader in one small file. It uses the PDF engine already built into Windows, so there's nothing to install and it opens documents instantly. Zoom, fit to width or page, rotate sideways scans, and print all pages, the current page or a range — with a clean ribbon and helpful tooltips on every button.
The MOBOTIX camera video player that actually works. Open .MXG recordings and scrub the timeline instantly, frame-exact, with the camera's real date and time on every picture. Step frame by frame, play at up to 16× to skim long recordings, then convert clips (or a whole folder) into YouTube-ready MP4 files with sound in one click.
📱 On your phone too Open MXG Scout Mobile
at dialsoft.com/mxg — works in Chrome on Android (and iPhone), nothing to install. Sign in with your email to have the same projects and videos on your phone and your computer; videos only leave your device if you choose to upload them to your private cloud.
USB Port Scout
Available
Visual USB port checker
Draws your PC's case (front, back, sides and inside) and colors every USB port live: green working, amber slow or a problem, red error, gray empty. The Test & Map Ports wizard walks you through each port and tells you if it works, fails, is stuck at USB 2 speed, or is dead.
Tests SSDs, hard drives, USB flash drives and memory cards. Flags counterfeit drives that lie about their capacity, checks SMART health and firmware, and prints a spec-and-results label so you know a drive is safe to reuse or resell.
Fake-capacity detection
SMART health, brand & chipset
Prints 62 mm labels on Brother QL printers

For the BBS community
BBS & Retro
The golden age of dial-up, rebuilt on modern foundations: ANSI, RIP and the terminals we grew up with.
DialComm
Available
BBS terminal for Windows & Android
A BBS terminal with the classic 90s Windows terminal look and feel. Telnet and SSH, full ANSI and RIPscrip graphics, the file transfers you remember, support for your old scripts, and a dialing directory pre-loaded with BBSes you can search by name or BBS software. On Android, your connections stay up even when you switch apps.
Dialsoft LLC is a small software publisher in Wharton, New Jersey. Our Windows tools come straight out of day-to-day IT work: every one of them started as a problem we kept hitting in the field and couldn't find a good tool for.
Our BBS software comes from somewhere more personal. We were there for the multi-line chat systems of the early 90s — and we're rebuilding the best of that era so it runs on today's machines and networks.
